Objectifying Women & Men

Last year players were trying to find ways to attract people to sign a petition for legacy servers & one guy suggested to use hot women to get more attention. I did not like the idea & spoke my mind. I am against using eye candy for more attention. Sadly sex sells & we have to abandon this practice. We need to find new creative ways to get attention.

I hope this post will shed some light on some of you, including the OP and his like-minded thoughtless comrade. Clean your ears out and listen. Yes, some of you are so desensitized. It’s possible to not be brainwashed anymore. It’s possible gain enlightenment. Some of you are are used to seeing men and women be presented in certain ways in the media including games. It’s sad. I would never ever exploit or objectify others for any kind of gain. Women and men are not objects and they certainly aren’t marketing tools. It looks like some of you have forgotten they aren’t. They are humans and they deserve to be treated like humans. It’s about standing up for what is right. There are lots of ads that feature barely clothed women and men in obvious positions. Go see for yourself and gain a conscience. It’s the norm right now unfortunately and it shouldn’t be. We need to take a step back and figure out new creative ethical ways to draw people into signing the petition.

I am glad real humans are standing up for what is ethical. Stop following the mindless zombies that condone this unethical practice. ❗ ❗ ❗ ❗

1. Players all come in different shapes, races, genders and sizes. Why not have big names and big youtubers represent this? It’s a lot more reasonable and realistic. These people have a voice and they would have a better influence on this. It’s not offensive either.

2. Gamers are females too and we also have female gamers in this community. It would not be beneficial to our community if we only attract one gender and lesbians. We need everyone’s attention.

3. Open up your eyes. Joking or not, we need to remind ourselves that women are not props and shouldn’t be exploited like this. They shouldn’t be used as marketing tools based on their looks and their body parts either. PERIOD. It’s astounding that most of today’s society so numb by this and is used to this nonsense. Gain a conscience and get with the times!
